Sr. Pipeline Design Engineer
Abu Dhabi , UAE

Pipeline Engineer Basic Description:
The pipeline engineer position joins a company that is engaged in providing
total EPC Solutions
to the Oil & Gas Industry. The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible to lead
a team of pipeline engineers
and shall be responsible for total detailed engineering activities for
projects related to Oil & Gas. The
desired candidate will be an experienced mechanical design engineer with
years of exposure in a range
of detailed pipeline engineering activities. Lead a team of professional
pipeline engineers and own the
project.

Qualifications: Minimum Experience, Skills & Education:

B.S Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
Minimum 10 years in solid onshore pipeline design in the oil and gas
industry. Includes feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detail
design and procurement support
Experienced in Design of Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Pipeline projects
At least 7 years in a consulting background and 4 years in construction
Must have sound knowledge of wall thickness, buoyancy, buckling and pipe
laying calculations, process design and preparation of PFDs and PIDs,
hydraulic analysis, line and equipment sizing , Detailed Design/engineering
calculations, analyses of oil & gas pipelines, route surveys, QRA, EIA,
HAZOP review
Experience in software packages ie: CAESAR II and Autopipe, PipeSim,
Pipephase or Pipeline Studio, Plus one,Pipecalc. AutoCad
Familiarity with international codes, standards and industry guidelines such
as ASME, API, BS, DIN, ASTM, IP,AGA,ISO,NACE,DEP, etc
Fluent in English

Job Description :

Provides direction, coordination, and evaluation of a large unit(s) of project business analysts or a major task force project of building Nuclear power plants in the Middle East.
Ensures that projects have Business Plans and a clear understanding of the Prime Contract commercial terms.
Possesses knowledge of international payroll and expatriate policies.
Provides advice concerning multi-entity and multi-country execution and accounting requirements.
Coordinates with Fluor Corporate Tax Department regarding international project set-up and execution.
Administers accounting procedures and tax plans established by Fluor financial management.
Reviews and analyzes project financial performance and assists project management in
understanding and communicating financial issues and performance.
Participates in the proposal effort with regard to commercial issues.
Provides guidance and training to PBS members and gives/reviews performance appraisals for assigned analysts.
Requires strong discretion and independence.
Interfaces with other groups inside and outside the organization, senior management, other locations, clients, and auditors.
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications.
Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements :
Must be able to commit to two years in the middle east Family Status.
Four-year accredited business/finance degree.
Masters Degree in the Business Administration area preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of related PBS/project experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership on project finance issues and project management of project finance issues.

Individual is primarily responsible for supervising and/or conducting laboratory tests on petroleum, oil and lubricant products. Duties as a Petroleum Laboratory Specialist include the following:

• Receiving samples of petroleum products
• Conducting tests on petroleum products
• Evaluating test results with specification requirements and making recommendations regarding product disposition
• Applying fire prevention and safety control procedures in handling volatile petroleum, oils and lubricants products
• Obtaining petroleum test samples from storage tanks, barges and tankers
• Testing fuels and oils for water, sediment and other contaminants using laboratory equipment
• Analyzing chemicals for strength, purity and toxic qualities
• Performing chemical and physical tests
• Maintain detailed laboratory records and files

• Proficient in published regulatory DA and DOD testing methods
• Proficient on the use of lab equipment, such as centrifuges and spectrometers
• Identifying sources and types of contamination and deterioration
• Making recommendations for recovery and disposal
• Prepare and maintain quality surveillance reports
• Performing organizational and preventive maintenance and calibration on lab equipment

Basic Job Requirements:

Must be able to: climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders; reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials; lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (either naturally or with correction). Must be able to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment, methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work, and apply as such.
