The Micronutrient Initiative (www.micronutient.org) is an international not-for-profit organization with its Head Quarters in Ottawa, Canada and Regional Offices in Asia and Africa. Our commitment is to stimulate and support national actions to eliminate micronutrient malnutrition, assuring universal coverage and sustained impact on people’s health and well-being. MI Indonesia invites applications from qualified Indonesian citizens for the two following positions:
A. NATIONAL PROGRAM OFFICER, IDD-USI
As a senior level full time position for 2 years based in Jakarta with frequent national travel, the successful candidate will:
1.Work closely with the government and key stakeholders to lay the ground work so that the current Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention and Control-Universal Salt Iodization (IDD-USI) projects are implemented effectively
2.Be responsible for coordination and liaison with players at national and regional level
3.Support Government Program through various initiatives that may include, formation of a task force, policy formulation including development of specific guidelines, act as a resource person for IDD-USI program
4.Monitor programs at the national level including review of reports, surveys etc
5.Organize technical or programmatic workshops
6.Provide technical support and guidance to Provincial Coordinators and field operations
Qualifications:
1.Academic degree in nutrition/health sciences, public health, food sciences/technology, health management, international development or related fields;
2.At least 10 years of working experiences with Government Agencies, NGOs, Donor, Industry and/or UN agencies;
3.Good knowledge of policies and programs of government and donor agencies;
4.Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as a team member
5.Ability to work independently and innovatively;
6.Excellent computer and communication skills (presentation and writing), with fluency in spoken and written English
B. PROGRAM ASSISTANT
A full time position for 3 years based in Jakarta, the successful candidate will:
1.Undertake day-to-day administrative responsibilities;
2.Manage correspondence, including all incoming day-to-day mail, fax, file correspondence and other documents;
3.Organize and coordinate meetings, and prepare meeting minutes and internal reports;
4.Manage overall office documentation/filing system, and assist in the preparation of all necessary documents related to program activities, which includes Project Approval Document, Grant Agreement, Consultancy Contract, Travel Grant, maintain Contracts database etc;
5.Prepare payment requests, and financial statements and project/contract closures;
6.Assist in organizing national/international travel and workshops/seminars;
7.Liaise with project on the submission of technical and financial reports
Qualifications :
1.A graduate degree from a recognized university;
2.At least 3 years of experience in management, finance and administration, accounting, communication, public health, nutrition/health or a related to an administration/management work
3.Excellent communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English;
4.Good computer skills (MS Office)
Period of contract of the above positions is renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
