The Southeast Asia influenza Clinical Research Network (SEA ICRN) is a multi-lateral, collaborative partnership of hospitals and institutions in Indonesia, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam. International partners currently include US National Institute of Health-National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Oxford University, Wellcome Trust, and 13 clinical sites and labs across Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand. The SEA ICRN Network Co-ordinating Centre (NCC) provides guidance and support to clinical research teams needed to implement the scientific research agenda. This support includes the planning, administration and execution of an $8 million USD annual budget and the necessary financial reporting to sponsors including the US Government and the Wellcome Trust.
The SEA ICRN is looking for senior candidates having extensive experience in the overall management of complex health-related projects in the setting of developing nations with excellent spoken and written English language skills. Knowledge of and excellent spoken and written English language skills. Knowledge of and experience in clinical trials research across a range of diseases would be a considerable advantage, as would direct experience in Indonesia that includes a functional knowledge of the culture and language:
Finance and Contracts Officer
Duties: Coordinates development and execution of network and site specific budgets. Develops financial systems, trains network and site staff and monitors implementation. Reports expenditures regularly and forecast future cash flow.
Desirable citeria: Master’s degree in accounting, 5 years experience in grants managements that includes US Government funds
Administrator
Duties: Supports the Network COO in daily office administration, routine communication, report writing, proposal development, budgeting, work plan development, asset control and staff health, safety and security.
Desirable criteria: Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in an international office environment
Communication Officer
Duties: Develop and disseminate network reports, public relations materials, website content, SharePoint, media relations, newsletters and serve as professional representative.
Desirable criteria: Bachelor’s degree, 5 years work experience in communication related field, excellent English both written and spoken, SharePoint and website software skills
Training Officer
Duties: develops and implements network and site operational training in clinical research and supports other network related training requirements.
Desirable criteria: Knowledge of ICH-GCP, research ethics, clinical research protocol development, project management. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience in developing training curricula and clinical trials operations.
Administrator for Clinical Section
Duties: Supports the Sr. Clinical Research Scientist in clinical activities administration, routine communication, report writing, proposal development, budgeting, work plan development.
Desirable criteria: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in an international office environment
