TBCAP is inviting Expressions of Interest in Providing Supply and Pharmaceutical Management Consulting Services.
Background
The TB Control Assistance (TBCAP) is a USAID funded five year cooperation programme implemented by a unique partnership of eight leading international agencies working in TB control. In Indonesia, they work closely with the Ministry of Health in the implementation and further strengthening of the National TB Program (NTP). In this regard TBCAP is assisting the NTP to strengthen its ability to control and manage TB medications and supplies stored and distributed around the country. TBCAP is interested in identifying companies and individuals with skills and experience that would enable them to contribute to meeting these objectives.
Initial technical focus
The initial technical focus for TBCAP is to assist the National TB Programme to develop a viable and functional national information system for medicines and commodities able to capture and report on stock levels, expiry dates and consumption. Related to this will be the use of this information to prepare timely reports for national TB managers in order to assist them with procurement and distribution monitoring and planning. In addition, the NTP would benefit from a strategic review of storage and supply arrangements for the medium to long-term.
Qualifications and experience
TBCAP is looking for interested companies and individuals qualified to provide these technical services. Appropriate qualifications and experience must include a proven track record in :
1.Supply chain management consulting services provided to the pharmaceutical industry and other private sector companies in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector
2.Development and implementation of MIS for supply systems, including the managing of products with limited shelf lives
3.Experience of the public sector at all levels. Health sector experience useful;
4.Strategic planning for supply chain; implementation of strategic plans
5.Demonstrable record in adapting technologies and systems to a range of infrastructure, budgetary and human resource contexts
