Position Purpose:
1. Primary responsibility is to enhance, develop and support Microdyne's proprietary Business applications with a focus on the web 2.0 technologies.
2. Working as part of the development team will analyze, design, and develop applications utilizing standardized methodologies and following design specifications.
3. Should be well versed in all aspects of software development including but not limited to the ability to translate business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable, and maintainable applications.
4. Tests and deploys applications ensuring finished product meets user needs and makes adjustments as necessary.
5. Creates user documentation and provides ongoing support for applications developed.
Essential Functions:
1. Detail-oriented with demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
2. Established track record in developing dynamic data-driven applications by utilizing relational database design concepts.
3. Ability to develop programs from design specifications.
4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills required, including strong customer service skills to support a production environment.
5. Ability to manage competing priorities, making good business decisions in the context of overall goals and objectives of department.
6. Maintains a high level of business and technical knowledge, effective interpersonal skills, and is a positive influence within the department to develop greater productivity, knowledge and skills.
7. Perform additional related duties as requested.
