Position Summary: Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADL) and hygiene to keep them at their highest functioning level and minimizing further deterioration. Assists in the maintenance of the unit to provide for a pleasant, efficient and safe environment. Follows resident rights guidelines including confidentiality at all times to insure that residents are being treated with dignity and respect as adults within the nursing home environment. Demonstrates competency in nursing care skills in order to provide appropriate and safe care.
Requirements: Experience in providing direct care to residents, patients or clients. Certified or eligible for C.N.A. Certification. VA license as Certified Nursing Assistant. CPR required. Good communication skills and technical skills in providing direct patient/resident care. Proficient in English.
Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Virginia approved C.N.A. training program
