Technology Solutions Consultant

Responsibilities:


JOB DESCRIPTION : This high profile role is a key component of the highly experienced, professional and motivated team of core technology solution specialists to drive and execute core technology solution sales in Malaysia.
This role is core technology solution focused and specialized for the various solution areas within the Oracle Application Server product.
The key objective of this role is to lead the pre-sales program for Oracle Application Server in Malaysia.
The objectives of the role are to build a highly motivated, developed and skilled sales consulting community in Malaysia via innovation and core technology solution leadership in order to help achieve core technology revenue targets.
The successful applicant will be working to achieve this objective in collaboration with a strong team of similarly skilled and highly motivated individuals leading core technology solutions both regionally and within each ASEAN country.
RESPONSIBILITIES : To drive excellence within the core technology sales consulting team in the Malaysia, carrying the following responsibilities.
CUSTOMER SALES SUPPORT : Product customer sales support by active engagement in key Oracle Application Server sales opportunities for all solution areas.
PRODUCT LEADERSHIP: Leadership by example; demonstrating and growing deep solution specialization in the core technology community within Malaysia.
This technical specialization includes deep knowledge of competitive solution offerings and key points of Oracle differentiation,
PRODUCT SALES PROGRAMS : Manage and support pre-sales programs for core technology solutions in Malaysia including participation in opportunity management and proactive engagement oriented programs.
SOLUTION AREA COMMUNITY & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT: Develop and drive the readiness of Malaysia Sales Consulting and the broader core technology solutions community in Malaysia.
PRODUCT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Identify, support and develop business with key Oracle Application Server partners to take core technology solution areas to key customers and key license opportunities.
CUSTOMER REFERENCE PROGRAM: Drive, coordinate and develop key reference customers for Oracle core technology solutions within Malaysia in collaboration with Product Management, field sales, customer care and the global customer reference program managers.
Requirements:


REQUISITE PRODUCT AREA EXPERTISE, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :
Knowledge, experience, expertise and leadership in the following product areas, technology standards and architectures are requisites for the role : Solution Areas: J2EE, Web Services & Internet, jDeveloper, ADF, Toplink, BPEL Process Manager, Portal, Discoverer, InterConnect, PartnerConnect, Wireless, Identity Management.
Technology Standards: J2EE (EJB, Servlet, JSP, JMS, JCA), XML, UDDI, WSDL, SOAP, JAX*, BPEL, WebDav.
Technology Architectures: SOA, ESB, EDA.
Knowledge and experience in the following product areas, standards and technologies is highly desirable :
JAAS, JAZN (XML & LDAP), OID, LDAP, HTTP Security (Java and Apache), Federated Identity Management, SAML XrML, WS-Security.
Oracle 9i and 10g Database.
Essential : 2-3 years minimum of experience leading teams.
2-3 years minimum of specific technology experience in the area of Java and J2EE.
2-3 years minimum of experience positioning and communicating the benefits of technology.
2-3 years minimum of technical software implementation experience incorporating J2EE.
A demonstrable track record of successful sales consulting and/or consulting experience.
A demonstrable track record in selling and positioning technology solutions at an executive level.
A demonstrable set of exceptional communication skills (both written and oral).
A demonstrably self-motivated person with the ability to motivate others and work independently.


Desirable : 2 years of Oracle Application Server product implementation experience (sales consulting, consulting or support).
Long-term experience of working in an Asian environment.
