POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible to debug and troubleshoot issues in the filed for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS protocol stacks. The Field Development Support Engineer will also be responsible to work with Stack Development and test team during development phase and contribute in design efforts. This position involves interaction with customers, network engineers and field test team
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Protocol Stack Development and Testing is required
• Must be proficient in C and/or C++ with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Layer1, Layer2 and/or Layer3 for wireless protocol development will be considered an asset
• Willing to travel on a short notice to debug and troubleshoot issues with wireless device/network
• Hands on experience with testing equipments e.g. Anite, R&S and Racal is required but not manadatory
• Must be well versed in 2.5G and 3G specifications from 3GPP
• Ability to work in both an independent and a team environment
