Mechanical Reliability Engineer
About the Job
A very successful, growing company in Houston, PA (Southwestern PA) that designs and manufactures machinery used for the mining industry is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to develop and maintain reliability processes as it relates to its mining equipment. This position will involve developing procedures to record reliability parameters of parts and assemblies, performing root cause analysis, and risk assessments.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop procedures to record reliability parameters of parts and assemblies.
2. Perform root cause analysis on field returns.
3. Devise specific testing methods to reproduce failure modes and test potential product fixes.
4. Construct unique electrical hardware and machined product specific test fixturing as necessary to facilitate advanced product development testing.
5. Record and analyze product returned performance data making recommendations for product improvement or next steps in root causeanalyses.
The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelors degree and have demonstrated experience with Reliability analysis of machinery. Mining industry experience is a strong plus.
