Hotel Nurse (Job Number: ALA000028)

Plans and implements the Hotel's occupational, health and safety policies and procedures. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos.
To be always available in the clinic during the stated hours.
To ensure that all new colleagues are issued Health Cards and collects all expired cards
To maintain an adequate supply of medicines at all times as suggested by the house doctor and replenish the first aid boxes as necessary.
To ensure proper maintenance of all equipment such as oxygen bottles, first aid kits and other medical equipment.
To prepare the sickness report and submit to the Human Resources Coordinator at the 30th of each month.
To forward copy of sick leave report to concerned Heads of Department.
To ensure the clinic is always clean and tidy.
Ensures pre employment medical scanning is conducted for overseas recruited staff and reports submitted verified.
Records all sick leave and incident injuries.
To participate in fire and safety training and respond to fire calls, real or drill and set up the emergency first aid station.
To liaise with government medical services in order to be informed of the latest medical needs and developments within the country.
Will be a member of the Hotel's HACCP Team.
To maintain records of first aiders within the department ensuring that adequate coverage as per IHG standards is maintained.
Schedule and monitor annual health/ medical checks of employees.
To perform special assignments as directed by the Human Resources Director.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have
Previous experience in hotel
Nursing certificate is required
Willingness to assist colleagues in case of accidents on 24/7 basis
