Job Description
As a Digital Hardware Design Engineer at Micron in the STS (Specialized Tester Solutions) group, you will join a small team of hardware and software engineers responsible to rapidly create desktop sized memory test equipment including functional prototyping expertise for various groups at Micron. The design projects are embedded microprocessor based and typically centric to an FPGA or microcontroller with an average three month design cycle. Each project requires strong technical skills to interact with the customer to define and design the required hardware, create the embedded software/firmware test flows and work with the team to deploy application software and diagnostic tools.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will have:
• Strong team player with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HDL languages; Verilog Preferred.
• Experience with embedded software development; C language a plus.
• Experience with development tools of Altera Quartus and NIOS IDE (A plus).
• Exposure or experience with Java. (Preferred)
• Detail and goal oriented with good insight to possible enhancements to existing products
• Excellent documentation and communication skills required.
Education:
BS Electrical or Computer Engineer plus 3+ years experience in engineering development work
