Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for coordinating patient care using evidence-based practice. The ANM serves as a role model to all levels of staff. During the Nurse Manager’s absence, the ANM is accountable to the Associate Chief Nurse for the overall management of the specific patient care unit for all tours of duty. The ANM executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care. The ANM adheres to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice. The ANM demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaboration with interdisciplinary approach.
Key Requirements:
• Citizen of the United States with current unrestricted RN licensure
• BSN or active enrollment in BSN program
• 3-5 years of successful Psychiatric Nursing Experience

Qualifications:
Required:
1) 3-5 years of successful Psychiatric Nursing Experience
2) BSN or active enrollment in BSN program required.
3) Basic Computer Skills
4) Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other members/services of the medical center to accomplish the medical center's mission, vision, and goals.
5) Demonstrates integrity, dependability and the ability to function independently.
6) Evidence of strong positive interpersonal/customer service relations and verbal/written communication skills.
7) Evidence of sound decision-making, critical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
8) Ability to work flexible hours.
9) Working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures including EEO guidelines/policies and Labor Agreement.
10)Citizen of the United States
11)Graduate of an NLN accredited or state approved school of nursing
12)Current unrestricted RN licensure
