Description
This position is located at our Cool Springs Financial Center in Franklin, TN.
Receives and pays out money, and maintains accurate records of all transactions. Performs tasks of a basic to moderately complex nature.
Cashes checks within assigned limits. Accepts savings deposits and withdrawals, verifies signatures, posts interest, and balances as required. Accepts loan, credit card, utility and other payments. Issues money orders, cashiers' and travelers' checks, and issues or redeems savings bonds.
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
Promotes the company's services, answers questions, and directs customers to appropriate department for specialized services.
May provide other customer services, such as preparation of collection letters and deposits to appropriate accounts, exchange of negotiable items (e.g., cashiers' and travelers' checks, certificates of deposit, foreign currency, and savings bonds), and processing of transactions and verifications related to commercial loans.
HOURS:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Customer service orientation.
Previous teller/cashier experience preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift up to 25 pounds in coin or currency.
Knowledge of security procedures.
Ability to sell products and services to meet sales goals.
Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
Ability to promote the appropriate company image and maintain a professional attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills with knowledge of email functions and Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Good aptitude for math.
Knowledge of bank operating procedures.
Knowledge of basic aspects of financial services.
Outstanding customer service skills including researching and resolving customer issues.
