Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and acquire high quality, long-term, “preferred” customers to support growth through acquisition. Make sales presentations to prospective customers at fairs, shows, exhibits, businesses and residences. Introduce all DS Waters of America, Inc products and services. Identify customer needs; match needs to Company products and services, and overcome customer objections and resistance. Negotiate appropriate pricing and adjustment decisions within established guidelines. Follow up to ensure new customers are set as requested. Set up and tear down booth locations as needed. Meet established sales objectives. Communicate field conditions and customer problems to manager. Create and maintain contracts, accounting and service documentation and logs as required by manager. Operate Company or personal vehicle as needed and within safety standards. Some overnight travel may be required. This is not a complete description of the Sales Consultant role.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to interact with all team members in pursuit of common sales goals to support growth through the acquisition of long-term, profitable customers. Effective sales and customer service skills. Effective verbal communication skills. Complete knowledge of Company products and services after training. Basic math skills and written communication skills to develop and present sales proposals. Willingness to work varied workweek and flexible hours in order to meet the demands of the position. Ability to work independently and achieve goals with a minimum of supervision. Physically able to lift equipment and bottles weighing 43 pounds, as needed. Ability to travel throughout the sales territory, as necessary. Able to be in compliance with DS Waters of America, Inc Driver Qualification Policy requirements. Willingness to ride with assigned Route Sales Representative on their delivery route in an effort to acquire “on day” new business.
