I was excited to read about Cancer Educator job opening at Olcott Center for Cancer Education.
I have Graduate of an approved BSN nursing program (RN) with Indiana RN license. I have three years experience as a practicing nurse and one year experience in health education with the tasks, duties and responsibilities focusing on plans, develops, implements and evaluates programs and services of the Cancer Service Line, addresses the physical as well as the psychosocial, emotional and spiritual dimensions of health and healing, provides one-on-one education and support to people diagnosed with cancer and their families as well as community members who have questions about cancer. Other services offered and overseen by the educator include support groups, a resource library, a client tracking system, and special events, provides patient advocacy services by working closely with the medical community, particularly with physicians involved in cancer services.
In addition to my extensive experience, I have public speaking and community outreach events of this job. My broad background makes me an excellent candidate for Cancer Educator position.
