I have Associates degree in Health Information Technology (RHIT) and cancer registry with Certification as Tumor Registrar (CTR) by the National Cancer Registrar's Association. I have three years of prior work experience as cancer registry abstracting and coding with the tasks, duties and responsibilities focusing on:
• The completed and accurate data are collected adn maintained for all patients diagnosed with and/or treated for cancer within the Medical Center.
• Performs case finding to ensure all patients eligible for inclusion in the Cancer Registry database are identified and entered.
• Codes, stages and enters into the computer each case added to the tumor registry utilizing ICD-9, ICD-0, AJCC TNM, SEER, and Collaborative Staging standards.
• Reports directly to Oncology Data Coordinator.
In addition to my extensive experience, I have Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint, Data Coding-ICD/CPT knowledge of ICD-9 adn ICD-0 Coding, Tumors Nodes, Metastasis (TNM), Surveillance of Epidemiology and End Result (SEER). My broad background makes me an excellent candidate for Certified Cancer Registrar position.
